Bamboo is useful for many things, including clotheslines. Also notice the building behind which is also made of bamboo.

This and the Pennsylvania one Fall 2010 give the idea that a worldwide comparative study of clothes hanging out would be fun and historically valuable. Include cactus, barbed wire, flat on the grass. Well done!
