That's a great picture, Dan. Also fun because usually I haven't been to the locations of your photos, but this one I have! :) I love how when you hike around Convict you go from a semi-desert to that lush green birch-y forest on the far side.

This was the first place my father traveled to when he moved to California from Tennessee, back in the early 1940s, and the first "outing" I remember being taken on when I was a child. This is a terrific photograph.
