This is one of the most awesome coves along the CA coastline. How can you beat an 80 foot waterfall spilling right onto the beach, in a secluded cove? This is McWay Falls in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, Big Sur, CA. Of course, it would be way cooler to be standing on the beach below right next to (or underneath) the waterfall. I have wanted to do that ever since the first time I saw this falls (and I know the best route down), but have so far restrained myself due to the very clear signs telling you not to go down there. I have been told the fine is hefty. You can buy this photo here, with many options including standard prints, canvas gallery wraps, gift cards, mugs, T-shirts and much more. |
