This is spectacular Cathedral Cove on the Coromandel Peninsula of the northern island of New Zealand. The limestone sea stack on the beach (called Te Hoho Rock) used to be a sea cave connected to the mainland but it eventually eroded, leaving this pinnacle. I climbed above a different sea cave to get the ferns in the foreground while looking down on Cathedral Cove. See my Entrance to Narnia photo for the view from the sea cave below. What a beautiful beach! Reminds me of Indo. Best thing about it is that there are no people crowding the beach!
