The photoblog is not dead....at least not anymore. Yes, I have neglected it. But here's a shot to get things going again. I took this about 20 minutes ago from the porch of the cabin where Katie and I are staying in Mammoth Lakes, CA. I didn't have much choice in framing, since this was the only spot I could see the moon through the trees, and the moon has been hiding in the clouds most of the evening. But I think the messy foreground adds a bit of interest to the shot. |

I like the colors... usually when I've tried to take moon shots there isn't really any color.

Yeah, there was a bit of color in the sky still, and I increased the saturation a ton to highlight it more.
